leeo smart light reaching end of life

Way back in the olden days of early 2015 we reviewed a little product called the Leeo Smart Alert Nightlight. This was one of the first neat IoT concepts I saw where you took a couple of sensors and could link it to actions that would give you text alerts and a phone call.

Basic training taught it to listen for smoke alarms and call you when it heard them. Set ranges would let you know when it got too humid or hot at your house.

I turned the thing into a work monitor for whatever office was giving us trouble with the temperature. It was a great remote temperature monitoring device, and pretty good at reporting unexpected noises.

But it’s nearing the end of life as the company no longer is. Some former employees have been keeping the lights on, but soon thousands of leeos are going to be a simple nightlight.

So if you’ve got any ideas for their continued existence, it’s probably time to get in touch with them now.
