Jedi Fallen Order or WWE 2K20 not working? Set your date back.
As far as I can tell this applies to the PC versions of the games, and from what I have heard the solution currently is to set the date on the PC back to 11/31/2019 or before.
The issue is they’ve been unlaunchable this year.
Whether this is a pirate issue or not, hard to tell from Twitter. Nobody wants to say “I didn’t buy this and it’s not working”. It reads like it’s not a piracy issue though.
The solution (evidently,) until EA either calls people out or pushes a fix is to change the date in Windows back to November 2019 or so during the launch of the games.
Really not sure if it’s a piracy, piracy protection, or EA simply basing something on the time that they didn’t test particularly well. You can read about it here, here, here (for pirated versions,) and here’s someone who posted changing the date to 1/12/2019 for the fix.
So yeah, happy 20th Y2K anniversary. Let me know if that fixed it for anyone. Wife got it for me on the XB1 and ran across millions of happy players that were snuffed out in an instant tonight while trying to figure out how to get past a puzzle.
