Comcast outage in South Nashville because someone shot the internet
In South Nashville Comcast was down most of the weekend after a shooting near 21st and Church severed a fiber optic cable.
So, yeah, you can totally down Comcast for a city for 20+ hours with one fiber break. This doesn’t exactly scream the future of business to me.
From a picture of someone’s messenger in one of the threads, there’s a message that states
Fiber was damaged by bullets. At the corner of 21st and Church St by Centennial Hospital. They have been walking these spans all day. They only finally found it by chance. [Name omitted] walked by and happened to see the visible light shooting out in the middle of nowhere,

I happened to talk to a neighbor who’d been on with Comcast for several hours… the main support did not have any clue a large chunk of the city was down for 15 hours at that point and suggested he get a new cable modem and scheduled a technician to come out Wednesday.
