Google Authenticator updated, allows copying to multiple devices

Two factor authentication will generally keep you pretty safe unless the second factor gets phished from you as well, and if you don’t know the second factor such as what happens with time based authentication codes you’re probably at least a little safer.

Google Authenticator has been an app that I’ve relied on for years, but device to device there was no way of easily transferring your source keys and as such every new phone, factory reset, etc I’d lose my codes and have to redo several.

Now, you can export each account using a QR code and a second phone with Authenticator on it.

There’ve also been some visual upgrades, but the core function is still just an app that gives you a number, which is cool.
