Google Assistant, a little bit smarter than expected
Last night at about 12:30am I asked Google to set an alarm for 7am tomorrow. I believe my exact words were “OK Google, set alarm for 7am tomorrow”.
Being as it was after midnight it was currently Thursday morning, and I intended for it to set the alarm for about 7 hours from when I was asking it, but I told it to set it for tomorrow, which would have been Friday, about 31 hours from then.
It did what I wanted however, setting the alarm for Thursday at 7am, and not what I had asked.
Tonight, long night trying to figure out why I’m using 25 gigs worth of Pocketables hosting here and I realize it’s 1:57am Friday morning at this point and I have things to do in the morning at 7 I decide to ask it once again to set my alarm for 7am tomorrow morning.
Once again it figured out I don’t mean tomorrow (Saturday is tomorrow at this point,) and basically gave me the shut up you’re tired and getting up in 5 hours alarm.
So yeah, take that request for a Saturday alarm.
