You might have heard about that Pluto TV data breach? Yeah it evidently happened
Last week a few sites were reporting that there was a potential data breach of Pluto TV affecting 3.2 million users, but Pluto was investigating at that point. May have registered an eyebrow raise from me but potential hacks are not something I cover.
From my identity theft notification it appears this was correct. Pluto appears to have been hacked and hacked well.
So yeah kiddos, should you have used the same password for multiple sites and Pluto is one of them, change it now, everywhere.
As it stands, I’m set and the worst thing that can happen with that password (if they got it, honestly don’t remember setting one and there’s nothing in my notes, just registering an email address,) is they watch the Kung Fu Pluto channel under my name.
