The Nashville bombing

Just a quick little note as we go along – AT&T internet is out. AT&T Phone systems are out. There was a bomb detonated in front of the pretty much bomb proof AT&T switching station in downtown Nashville on second ave sometime around 6am. They were up and running for about five hours before I’m guessing the backup generators failed.

This means 911 is out in two counties. Internet on AT&T is out, on Sprint/T-Mobile it’s completely overwhelmed (I’ve got dial-up speeds)

TL;DR – version is people were given warning to evacuate by a loudspeaker in an RV. Sounds like it make a whole bunch of gunshot noises before loudly announcing it had a bomb and proceeded to countdown to the explosion.

So much warning was given only 3 people were injured.

If you’re in Nashville, prepare for power outages near downtown (just a guess mind you) – and remember if power does fail just put your food outside, it’s 20 degrees out.
