As I’ve discussed, I like white noise to sleep with and there’s no evident way to trigger the same function as “ok Google, play white noise” from anywhere else. If I want to trigger it I’m speaking to the speaker that nearest the bed, which means potentially waking my wife so I can have my required dull hiss to block out neighborhood sounds.
Quick rundown here, but “play white noise” = looping 1 hour white noise that shuts off in 10-12 hours, “play white noise on <speaker>” = plays “White Noise Pink Noise” from YouTube Music for 3-10 minutes and then plays something else (currently playing bad lullabies in rain). Attempts were made with Google Support to find how to trigger this but it ended up them asking for me to reset literally any Google Home in my arsenal for no reason and I didn’t have time for that .
