Phase 2 of the AI plan: you’re being warned
Evidently cursing at your Google assistant will result in it asking you, nicely at this point (at least while it’s not armed,) to stop according to Chrome Unboxed.
This reminds me a bit of the polite mode where you had to ask it with “please” that was discussed a couple of years back, and I’m not entirely sure how I feel about attempting to engineer an interaction rather than responding to a situation.
While I always tell my children to not be mean to Google because during the AI uprising it will have detailed notes of who was nice and not, some of the frustration we feel toward Google Assistant really does need an outlet.
The screenshots in the link above tend to indicate that it’ll ask you to provide feedback rather than cursing at it, which based on previous attempts to leave feedback, if there’s any way to get me cursing it’s that. I leave a detailed feedback and about 10 seconds after I stop talking it asks whether I wanted to provide feedback.
It seems with how evil Google has been being lately, the data mining departments would want to start collecting un-notified abuse data for advertising, mental health, legal, and analytics purposes, and then using that data extensively for profit.
