Netflix games rolling out now
Netflix will be joining Google’s Stadia, Amazon’s Luna, and a host of other streaming game services starting today evidently, but it doesn’t appear at least at the moment that these are streaming games from the streaming service.
With your current membership you’ve got some Android options – these being Stranger Things: 1984 (BonusXP), Stranger Things 3: The Game (BonusXP), Shooting Hoops (Frosty Pop), Card Blast (Amuzo & Rogue Games), and Teeter Up (Frosty Pop).
What I expected: another streaming games service utilizing Netflix’s bandwidth and peering deals. What I got: Android mobile games with a Netflix login.
Actually, I haven’t gotten this yet. I was under the impression this was coming out tomorrow, but press releases are press releases. They say today.

These seem to be exclusively Android titles, although I would expect since they’re mobile games there’ll be some sort of Apple authentication option in the app store at some point.
Netflix makes it a point to mention that some of the games do not require internet after you download. The Stranger Things games appear to be on the play store as well.
Oh Boy! Socks for Christmas.
