Google VPN coming to iOS on 2TB+ One plans
If you’re a fan of Google’s VPN offerings but on the iPhone side, and a subscriber to a 2TB or greater Google One storage plan, you’re in luck!
The Google VPN is now available through the Google One app on the app store.
Google’s VPN is open source, and the end to end systems were audited by NCCGroup. You can download a complete audit report from last year should you be interested.

The VPN is probably secure, but the tracking software you’ve got on your phone and don’t know about most likely invalidate that.
Google has also previously said it will support Mac and Windows down the road, but currently no.
If you want security and privacy from hackers in a coffee shop WiFi, there you go. Go for it. If you’re into doing things that could get you assassinated (such as reporting on a middle eastern royal,) I’d probably skip it.

Google One’s 2TB option is $9.99 a month, or $99 annually (a $20 savings or so.) If you’re already paying for the storage to back up your wedding photos, it’s a decent fast little VPN that appears to do what it says and is included with the storage options.
One notable downside is that you can’t choose which countries to pop out in on the VPN, so no Australian Netflix for you, Doug.
