The Note is dead, long live the Note

If you’ve been under a rock, or dealing with a kitchen remodel, you might have missed the S22 Ultra 5G release in which the Ultra can hold an S-Pen… is that all? Er… geez, it looks like that’s about it compared to the S-Pen supporting but not holding S21 Ultra 5G.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra
aka the Note

The Verge posted a spec sheet, but from the looks of it it’s a slightly smaller processor, slightly lower resolution screen, higher BT version and some WiFi 6 mods, and a hole to put the S-Pen in.

Basically it’s an S21 Ultra with a pen holder. It’s a Note.

But it’s not called the Note, that’s evidently done, so we can finally stop with the “Samsung to discontinue the Note series” articles because, it’s done… finally… 8ish years of those articles being trotted out are done. For those who still want the Note, may I suggest calling it the Samsung Galaxy S22 Not.

Unless this thing blows the doors off the S21 Ultra I’m calling it the same phone with a hole.
