You might be able to run Windows 11 under Android before you run Android under Windows 11

Probably not as the Android under Windows 11 functionality is supposed to be here this month, but the Android 13 Developer preview has some interesting virtualization options that have allowed a developer to run Windows 11 under Android without much ado.

You can watch a pretty cool, if portrait mode, version of Windows 11 in the video above. Seems pretty snappy if there’s not fakery afoot (doesn’t look like it).

I could duplicate the comments in the article at Android Police, but I’d direct you there for more information. TL;DR Google working on defragmenting the virtualization landscape, new virtualized runtime taking over from ART.

This doesn’t mean a whole lot to the average user yet, but it’s cool and imagine no longer having any ties to any piece of hardware (your PC or Mac) because that’s in reach now.
