Following two days of Apple outages, Arizona launches official Apple Wallet license and state ID

You can store and officially use Arizona driver’s license and state ID data on your iPhone now using Wallet. It appears this functionality is currently limited to use by the TSA, so doesn’t look like you’re going to be able to present this anywhere else right off the ground.

No article I can find mentions any use other than at the TSA so looks like if you’re driving you’re going to be carrying around the physical ID still, although that might be changing later on.

It’s a step… hopefully credit card readers will integrate this for boozy purchases and other states will follow as TSA checkpoints are woefully a place of “OMG I just lost everything somehow in 10 seconds!”
