Scanwatch hands showing the wrong time? Easy fix

At nine months into using it, I’ve got to say thinking about the Withings Scanwatch isn’t something I do much. The Scanwatch runs, does what it says, looks good, doesn’t bug me, and charging once a month or so I barely even think about it. I sold my Fitbit because of the Scanwatch and have not regretted it at all. Nine months I’ve had this and my complaints are none.

Yesterday I noticed the minute hand was about two minutes off. This was a relatively new issue and I highly suspect this happened when the watch got whacked pretty hard a couple of days back. Hard enough that I stopped my normal not paying attention to the watch and I had to check to make sure I had not cracked the glass.

I had not.

I checked the time that the watch has (when you press the button there’s a digital display) and it was different than what I was seeing. The minute hand was two minutes off, maybe three.

Luckily all you have to do to recalibrate is open the Healthmate app on your phone, choose the Scanwatch, and select set the time. You then get to rotate the hands around until they’re perfect. Or you can mess them up entirely if you want.

I can once again go back to not paying attention to the Scanwatch as it goes about its day recording the events of me.

You can find the official guide on how to set the watch hands here.
