Yeedi Vac 2 Pro review (final, it’s bad)

I’ve worked now with the Yeedi Vac 2 Pro in both the corporate test, and an in-home test for the past 60+ days at this point. Here’s the rundown: skip it.

The Vac 2 Pro suffers the same issues the other Yeedi vacs do, and primarily that’s mapping. The maps are blocky, unrealistic, and tend to never complete. This issue happened in my large area testing, and currently in the smaller house testing that a coworker is doing for me. This is the same issue I had with the Yeedi Vac Max at my father’s house. Incomplete mapping after weeks of use.

Yeedi Vac 2 Pro

Add to that that the unit rarely finds its way back to the docking station and when it does often it has issues attempting to dock. Same as we saw with the previous Yeedi products. I’d be happy in a week when it got back three times.

A shame, because as a vacuum and a mop the Yeedi Vac 2 Pro is excellent

Want a floor that shines? Want suction powerful enough to pull dirt from under carpets? Physically the Yeedi Vac 2 Pro is a beast and the second best mopping robot in terms of shining the floor I’ve run across. You pick it up, throw it in an area to mop, press a button and bam, you won’t be disappointed in mop performance.

As the mapping, docking, and software problems I’ve mentioned go as far back as October 2021 (about 11 months at this point,) and cover at least two Yeedi units I’ve reviewed however yeah… they’re not fixing it or it’s not being done in a timely fashion.

All things considered here, if the Yeedi Vac 2 Pro got the mapping and docking fixed, my only complaint would be that it can mop or vacuum but not both. This makes it less useful because to schedule a mopping you have to have the unit on a mopping surface as it will not traverse carpet when the mop is attached. Want to do both? Too bad.

Overall? Pass.

Great hardware, the app is the worst of any I’ve reviewed, the mapping looks like it was done by Duplo, and the inability to dock consistently when the dock is in the same perfect docking location make automating tasks impossible.

For the price there are better options that will find their way home, have significantly better app interfaces, and don’t leave you with comments from coworkers “great vacuum, but dumb as a bag of hammers.”

The Yeedi Vac 2 Pro robot vacuum with self empty station is on Amazon. I make commission if you purchase this item. I suggest you do not purchase this item unless they fix the software, mapping, and docking (all probably fixable.) At 11 months since my last encounter with their software and the same issues I do not expect this to happen in a timely fashion.

The Yeedi Vac 2 Pro could be great, but the software it currently has leads to extremely frustrating performance.
