How to full screen Android apps in Windows 11

Following up on installing an APK in Windows 11 you might guess that I’ve been working on something on Android and Windows. Why yes, how did I telegraph that? Anyhow I had an issue with one of the video playing Android apps running under Windows 11 that it always had a bar around the top when maximized.

To enter full screen Android app mode in the Windows Subsystem for Android, Windows+shift+F11. No more top bar. Done. Press it again to pop back to windowed mode.

Extremely useful when you’ve got a streaming app that’s amazing on Android and a piece of utter garbage on anything else.

Easy peasy.

Now if I could just get WSA to understand it doesn’t need to worry about my work VPN setup and to stop disabling internet to protect me I’d be happy.
