Netflix details new plan to lose customers and tank stock price

Over 100 million Netflix users are supposedly freeloaders and they’re going to charge for use. It reads like they’re going to be using IP addresses to determine who’s who on the account, so expect 100 million people to suddenly start using VPN routers while Netflix’s stock does a limbo.

The listed ways they’ll figure out who you are include device ID, account activity, and IP addresses. This should be fun as a reviewer because I slap Netflix on nearly every device I test and if I’m not 100% sure of it it’s sitting on a VPN’d network… let’s do this Netflix!

In other countries where the crackdown is happening they’re sending messages to the primary account holders to allow access until it’s so annoying the primary account holder pays up to not have to allow every time.

It seems every time Netflix talks about how they’re going to make more money by screwing the existing setup and cancelling popular shows they tank the stock price, so here’s looking at a Monday post-Christmas meltdown.
