How many times do Americans check their cell phones? It’s gross.

According to a report conducted by Reviews.org the average American checks their cell phone 144 times per day in 2023. If you’re just now getting the gross joke, go grab a cup of coffee or tea because it doesn’t get any better.

While the number have gone up, it’s probably important to remember that some of this is due to paying with phones and that checking a phone isn’t the same as being glued to it zombie-like for hours on end.
