IFTTT free tier dropping Twitter, applet limitations
If you’re an IFTTT free tier users you probably have just received the notification that May 23rd all non-paying IFTTT users will lose Twitter access and be limited to two applets. The move comes after Twitter changed pricing on API access, although that is not mentioned in the email they sent to the free tier as the reason.

The current free tier lets you have five applets it looks like (or I’m on a grandfathered account) so that is a pretty large slash to the free tier.
In other words, you can now pay a third party (IFTTT) to allow you to place content on Twitter where they will sell advertising around it.
