SMiT adds MID-560 to growing list of Android MIDs

Smit_mid560

Since it's apparently Android MID week around here, let's take a look at another one.

Unlike the mystery device I showed you yesterday, there's only a single rendered image of the SMiT MID-560. The good news, however, is that a pretty full list of specs accompanies it. The handheld sports a 5-inch WVGA touchscreen, 533MHz/667MHz Samsung ARM11 SC3640 CPU (the same chip used in the Samsung Mondi, though at a lower clock speed), WiFi, GPS, DVB, built-in flash memory up to 8GB, and a microSD card slot. Android 1.5 is of course the OS of choice here, so the inclusion of Chrome Lite, Gtalk, GMail, and Google Maps shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. In addition to an ebook reader, games, and a photo viewer, the MID-560 also features a fine set of supported media formats that include DivX, XviD, H.264, AAC, and OGG.

The rendered image looks very similar to yesterday's unknown Android MID, though the thicker silver trim, LED near the bottom right corner, and more evenly placed screen suggest that they're not the same device. When and how this can be purchased are unknown, but I'm assuming a bulk order of some kind will be involved.
