The official intent of releasing the font in TrueType format is for developers to see how the typography looks laid out; however, any user out there can download and slap the TrueType fonts in and go to town printing up EVO propaganda leaflets, or not.
If you're interested in trying out the fonts on a Windows machine, download the file on the "Style" section called "Roboto," open it, extract the TTF files to your Fonts directory (typically c:windowsfonts), and now Roboto should be a choosable font from most applications.
They also now have available the Action Bar Icon Pack, which is all the icons ICS includes by default, a style guide, some stencils, and other things.
If you're an Android fanboy, it's a pretty neat pack of stuff to make your computer a bit more like your phone.
