Android ICS Roboto font/icon pack now available for your computer

Typography_main[1]While we still have not seen an official Ice Cream Sandwich release from HTC for the HTC EVO 3D, View, and Design, and likely will not see an official one for the 4G/Shift, you can still indulge in ICS love with the Roboto font for your computer available right now from Google.

The official intent of releasing the font in TrueType format is for developers to see how the typography looks laid out; however, any user out there can download and slap the TrueType fonts in and go to town printing up EVO propaganda leaflets, or not.

If you're interested in trying out the fonts on a Windows machine, download the file on the "Style" section called "Roboto," open it, extract the TTF files to your Fonts directory (typically c:windowsfonts), and now Roboto should be a choosable font from most applications.

They also now have available the Action Bar Icon Pack, which is all the icons ICS includes by default, a style guide, some stencils, and other things.

If you're an Android fanboy, it's a pretty neat pack of stuff to make your computer a bit more like your phone.
