Sprint announced this morning that it is planning on officially adding LTE coverage to more than 20 additional cities in the coming months, in addition to the 100 cities it already announced last month. Here’s the new list:

- Dyersburg-Union City-Martin, TN
- Emporia, KS
- Fort Wayne, IN
- Greenwood, MS
- Joplin, MO
- Kokomo, IN
- Lafayette/West Lafayette, IN
- Lexington Park, MD
- Marion, IN
- Napa, CA
- Naples-Marco Island, FL
- Ottawa-Streator, IL
- Punta Gorda, FL
- San Francisco-San Mateo-Redwood City, CA
- Santa Rosa-Petaluma, CA
- Sarasota-Bradenton, FL
- Sebring, FL
- South Bend-Mishawaka, IN
- Terre Haute, IN
- Vallejo-Fairfield, CA
- Warsaw, IN
This comes one day after it was revealed that Sprint might be partially or wholly acquired by Japanese carrier Softbank. While this announcement almost certainly has nothing to do with the potential acquisition, it’s still good to see that Sprint appears to be on track with its Network Vision plans – and the extra cash it might get from Softbank will only help Sprint work that much faster.
