Over at 9to5google they’re reporting that Google Voice no longer can receive text messages for two factor authorization as Twitter has shut down that entire carrier as a potential bot/spam vector.
If you’ve been using it, switch second factor auth options before you need it.
I could re-hash the article, but that’s the TL;DR version, and as it’s Twitter this may change tomorrow. I actually have no problem with this with how abused Google Voice has gotten. If Google could stop some of the bot abuse, it’d be a different story… but even T-Mobile and Samsung’s anti-spam have been flagging Google Voice numbers as spam for a while now.
