Toshiba Chromebook now on Amazon for preorders

Tosbhia Chromebook CES

We’ve known about the Toshiba Chromebook for a few weeks now, ever since an accidental pre-CES leak, and now it’s real.Retail giant Amazon is now taking preorders for the much anticipated Chromebook, which was officially unveiled in Las Vegas two weeks ago.

Specs include:

  • Intel Celeron 2955U 1.4GHz processor
  • 2GB DDR3 RAM
  • 16GB Solid-State Drive
  • 13.3-inch Screen with Intel HD Graphics
  • 1366 x 768 resolution
  • 9.0-hour battery life
  • 802.11bgn WiFi
  • 2 USB 3.0 ports
  • 3.3 pounds, 8.90 x 12.90 x 0.80 inches

While there’s nothing too new or revolutionary here, this is still shaping up to be a great option for those who want something in between the existing 11.6 and 14-inch options. I did get a chance to play around with it a little at CES, and overall I’d say it looks to be a worthy buy, especially at the low price of $279.
