Sense 4.x mod released to raise recent app panels to 16 on the HTC EVO 4G LTE
Steal25 has posted a how-to on xda that works in conjunction with Zeppelinrox’s multitasking tweaks to raise the maximum listed recent apps in Sense 4.x to 16.
The previous limit was probably OK; however, with multitasking tweaks that make it work better, and the ability to open more than eight applications without killing them, the built-in limit is a bit small.
For times when you’re switching between Yelp, Google Maps, Foursquare, texting, Chrome, and other apps, this allows for quick and easy access to what you have open and sitting in the background.
The guide assumes you already know how to decompile an Android app, edit it, and piece it back together, so it’s not exactly a guide for everyone.
If you’re not in the mood to spend a while decompiling, editing, recompiling, and finally pushing the system application back onto your phone, you should probably wait a few hours for ROM developers to incorporate it into their ROMs, or someone to make a flashable mod of it.
Development seems to be really taking off in the Sense 4.x arena the past couple of days on the HTC EVO 4G LTE. Let’s hope that it keeps on going, and these great mods for Sense 4.x keep on popping out.
