New OQO to debut at CES 2007?

01pricecut Fans of the OQO Model 01+ may soon see an end to the waiting game they’ve been playing for the past year. Although unconfirmed by OQO, Business 2.0 is reporting that the company could show off its new handheld PC as early as January’s Consumer Electronics Show. The new model (02?) is said to feature an improved keyboard, more RAM, a bigger hard drive, and integrated WWAN capabilities. It will also sport a brighter screen, addressing the common complaint of reviewers and users (myself included) that the LCD on the 01+ is much too dim.

The possibility of a new device being announced in a few months seems to give reason to the recent price cut of the 01+, which is now starting at just $1199.
