DJ_Steve gets Honeycomb running on Dell Streak

Streak-honeycomb-djsteve

Proving once again that he is an unstoppable force of awesomeness, DJ_Steve has offered up some photographic evidence of his Dell Streak running none other than Android 3.0, more commonly known as Honeycomb. A video is expected soon (possibly today).

The build is based on the SDK emulator image and despite it being "unstable and slow" right now, he's determined to get the tablet-centric OS on the Streak "somehow or another" because it's "bloody gorgeous" and "too sexy to not grace the 5 and 7." And given his track record, we all know without a doubt that he'll do it.

There's still a lot for him to hammer out, as most things aren't working at the moment, so let's take a step back and give him some space to do that. As the Streak's only main dev, DJ_Steve is literally carrying the weight of the entire community on his shoulders. And even though the pace at which he updates his ROMs (StreakDroid is now at version 1.7.0) has many questioning whether he is man or machine, I'm sure he works more efficiently when not being hounded for status updates and test builds.
