Navy Wars multiplayer game lets you sink battleships on HTC EVO

Navy-warsLooking for a new game for your HTC EVO?

Then check out Navy Wars, a multiplayer version of Battleship created by xda-developers member BootsSir. It's complete with sounds, animations, notifications (you get a message in the notification window saying "You have battles to attend to!"), the ability to add friends, the option to battle or attack a random person, and a scoreboard.

The game is still in beta and not in the Market, but the most recent version is always available for free at the developer's direct download site. Since Navy Wars isn't in the Market, a manual update is required whenever the dev drops a new release. No worries, though, because when a new version is out, the app tells you and takes you to the download site.

BootsSiR has been absolutely amazing with his response to questions and bug fixes throughout his thread on XDA. He even jumps right in and plays with other members! He promises that the game will be in the Market after it's passed beta testing and is stable enough for everyday use. I have been running this app for two days now with only one issue . . . and it was addressed in the latest update.

Navy-wars-qr There are also a slew of final version features that BootsSiR will be adding, and from the looks of it, there will most likely be a free and paid version. I don't know what the price will be but honestly, I think it will be totally worth a paid download (the current beta is ad-free, by the way).

I suggest that you download this game and then post your gamer name here and at XDA so we can all play. Navy Wars is very addicting, and you will probably spend hours playing it.
