Small update takes Google Maps to 5.10 for HTC EVO with photos on reviews and more
Today's release of Google Maps 5.10 is not a huge package of overwhelming and amazing new features. Instead, it adds two new features that should prove helpful while you are out and about using Google Maps on your HTC EVO.
The first new feature is the ability to attach photos to reviews of a place. In a previous update you were given the photo upload for a place feature, but this time you can attach the photo to a review rather than just to the place itself. This is very useful when reviewing a restaurant, for example, as you can rave about that delicious chicken vindaloo or slam that tuna tartare and its sloppy presentation in picture form.
Next up is the new ability to see places you have rated 4 or 5 stars right on your map view. This is a cool feature that lets you see that slamming club or hot little coffee shop when you map search and might not remember the name or want to dig through your long list of places on Google Maps.
Not the biggest update, sure, but still useful in many ways.
