Wind-up Knight cranks up the excitement

Wind-up Knight

In a fun game called Wind-up Knight, you are a knight of the realm that runs on a wind-up spring. Your goal, should you decide to accept it, is to rescue the princess who has been taken by a l33t-speaking kidnapper. You're constantly running, jumping, and attempting to get to the next wind-up key to keep you going level after level.

Along the way to rescue the princess, you time jumps to get gold, avoid spikes and pits, kill dragons (that remind me of chickens) with your sword, roll, and defend yourself with your shield. You never stop running until you're dead, the spring runs out, or you've won the level.

This game is free, sort of.

If you're a hard-core gamer and can unlock everything (pass every level with 100% and a note you have to search to locate), you can make it to book two and beyond. If you're me, results will not be so forthcoming and you'll have to purchase the game to advance (or go back and get 100% and a hidden note on every level). It's possible to play the whole game for free, but it's a little tricky.

Wind-up Knight QRThis game looks beautiful on either the HTC EVO 3D or 4G, although on my 4G it's actually a little laggy. It's a higher-end game and my 4G is running a ROM that isn't made for it and it's not overclocked either. Your EVO 4G results may vary.

The level of detail and smoothness in Wind-up Knight is really impressive, the story line is amusing, and the play is simple and straightforward. If you're looking for an addictive and cute battery waster, this should be your next pick.
