Here’s the latest on Network Vision in the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico

Puerto-rico

If you're a Sprint customer in the Virgin Islands or Puerto Rico, then you're probably fairly anxious to see what Sprint's plans are for completing its Network Vision enhancements in your neck of the woods. Luckily, things are looking pretty good.

According to the most recent leaked info, Network Vision upgrades are currently underway in the Puerto Rico/Virgin Islands market, and they should be complete by the end of November; additionally, the San Juan area should be mostly complete by September. Furthermore, Sprint is expected to make an official announcement about its progress as early as August.

It is unclear whether the LTE rollout is being conducted simultaneously with other Network Vision enhancements, or whether this will be completed at a later time. In any case, for those of you looking for faster 3G connections, clearer voice calls, and improved indoor coverage, this should be welcome news – especially if you currently own an HTC EVO 3D, which is able to take advantage of most Network Vision enhancements as soon as they go live.
