Google has been hiding the Nexus 5 in Android 4.3 the whole time
Once upon a time, before pictures and specs of the upcoming Google Nexus 5 were leaked all over the internet, Google slipped a surprise into the Android 4.3 camera app. Above are screenshots of the stock Android 4.3 camera app – take a close look at the icon used to switch between front and back cameras.
As you can see, the huge camera lens is clearly visible on the back of the phone icon pictured here, and the very noticeable circle earpiece is on the front of the phone icon. Compare that image to these leaked pictures of the Nexus 5 below:
This just further proves that Google loves hiding little leaks in the most unnoticeable places – and that most of what Google does is painstakingly intentional. Apparently Reddit user bigtop77 pointed this out a month ago, only to be ridiculed by almost everyone else. Who’s laughing now?
I, for one, will be paying much closer attention to all of the little details in Google’s products going forward.
