T-Mobile announces “Underground,” a place to buy limited edition devices

The Underground

T-Mobile recently announced a new initiative to better serve hungry tech nerds like you and me called “Underground.” Basically, this is a new online storefront that showcases limited edition devices that aren’t easily obtainable from other sources.

Available at t-mobile.com/underground, there isn’t a lot to pick from initially. Right now, only the Samsung Galaxy S5 in gold is available, and clicking the buy button takes you to T-Mobile’s regular check out page, but hopefully more niche tech products will be there soon, including tablets and wearables. (For what its worth, there are some cool accessories under the Galaxy S5, including Galaxy Gear, but nothing too “exclusive.”)

While T-Mobile Underground isn’t too exciting just yet, it’s definitely worth keeping our eyes on it. It’s also possible that this could somehow be related to T-Mobile’s next Uncarrier initiative, set to be announced on June 18. In the meantime, what do you want to see in the Underground storefront? What would make this more exciting for you?
