Nokia N800 Internet Tablet for $243

Nokia_n800_buyOne of the "hot deals" listed on the front page of DealsPlus today is the Nokia N800 Internet Tablet, which Buy.com image 2592750 10390122 - for some reason we don't have an alt tag here is now selling for only $242.99 with free shipping. This is an incredible savings of over $150 off the original MSRP! Amazon and a few other retailers have also reduced their prices for the Linux-based handtop, though none quite as drastically as Buy.

These lower prices come only a few months after the first images of what could be the N800’s successor were submitted by an anonymous (though friendly) tipster and mere days after newly discovered FCC filings began to kick up some dust, so I suspect the rumors and speculation about more concrete specs, pricing, and availability will begin to pick up speed again.

In any case, the N800 is an incredibly versatile piece of equipment with one of the most capable mobile browsers around. And this new low price (which isn’t expected to last long) can’t be beat.

Wow! What a great deal! I’ve been waiting awhile for the n800 to be under $250 to buy one. Great find! I’m going to get one right now!

Tempting impulse buy, but a little redundant for UX owners?

  • Maybe not rors I’m looking for an Internet companion, something that has better battery life than the UX but still has access to the full internet.

  • Looks like it went down another $10 as I just checked the buy website. It is now $232.99 and still has free shipping! That’s a greater deal than yesterday.

From mobiletechreview: As an example, in offline mode the Nokia lasted a week on a charge but when in online mode the battery lasted 3 days.

Even more tempting, benz. This may be the perfect bathroom companion!
