LG XNote B831 UMPC available for preorder
Although the description listed on the product pages indicate that the LG UMPC has not yet been named, what many are calling the XNote B831 can now be preordered at both eXpansys and its American counterpart, MobilePlanet.
You may remember from my hands-on with the LG slider that the U.S. was not included in the list of regions where the Menlow-based device would eventually be available, so why MobilePlanet is accepting preorders is unclear. Pricing isn’t listed either, making the preorder process there quite odd, but if there’s room in your mobile lifestyle for a 4.8-inch touchscreen, 40GB hard drive, 1GB of RAM, HSDPA, wi-fi, and Bluetooth wrapped up in a 1.3-pound package, signing up for email updates at either site may be well worth the extra spam in your inbox.
