Dell Streak LEDs get modded with color

Streak-led-mod (1) The Dell Streak's LEDs are certainly becoming the popular target for hackers and devs. First they were stripped of their vibrating abilities, and now they've been completely removed from the board and replaced by colorful counterparts.

Armed with a soldering iron, modder tomqman spent just five minutes completing this project, meaning that anyone with similar skills and know-how should be able to replicate his work (using color LEDs of their choosing) with ease. He says the board is marked with a bracket indicating the polarity, so those in possession of a trio of SMD 0603 LEDs will know which way to solder them.
