HTC EVO user offers new options for carbon fiber vinyl skin

Evo-premade-carbonfiberRemember that carbon fiber vinyl skin for the HTC EVO? When we first saw it, G&E reader Hrshycro had provided instructions on how to make the skin yourself and was also offering to do it for you if you sent him your EVO's back cover.

Now he's back with a new Carbon Fiber Skins website that is currently accepting orders: $5 for a 4" x 6" piece of black 3M DI-NOC carbon fiber film for a DIY skin and $25 for a pre-made one (no need to send in your current back cover anymore).

The latter option will only be possible if the clear/colored battery doors—the only original spec doors that Hrshycro has been able to find—go into production. Ordering a pre-made carbon fiber one from Hrshycro will allow him to place a large order for the clear/colored battery covers, which in turn helps Custom Evos meet their quota to get the covers made. And of course that means everyone who paid for one of those doors can get their orders fulfilled.

It's all about the community helping the community.
