  • I always appreciate the work of devs and this looks interesting but I will not be trying until it is much more polished.

  • I’ve been using this for a couple days now and am also really impressed. I first just flashed it without any prework which was ok, but I did get a lot of force closes as well. I then went to the developers site where he listed out more prework steps involving flashing 2 other items and formatting your SD card. After doing so, the ROM is working much better. My battery life is on par with other Sense based ROMS. I love the changes to widgets and screens with 3.0. Although the weather doesn’t fully work, and I get occasional force closes, I’ll still continue to make this my new daily ROM. Great Work!

I love this rom! When its complete it will probably be the most advanced (as in most up to date) Evo users will ever have because of the 3D and other Android devices coming out. It definitely has some quirks with a freeze up here and there but I love sense 3.0! I just hope Virus continues to develop this rom :)

  • do i have to downgrade the pri?

  • Im my experience if a ROM dev explicitly states in their installation instructions that you need to perform a step then it’s a good idea to be obedient.

  • According to the xda link it is not an instruction. Its listed there as a downloadable link. The only instruction I saw was to install another file after it loads sense. I just want to make sure.

  • yea there a fix you flashed before or after you boot the first time. if you flashed B1.1 the the fix should be on your SD and should be able to find once in recovery.

  • its not mandatory but its listed in the top so i usually do that way if i have problems with the rom i rule out that knowing that i did that step. its really your choice

  • 4G is having problems working in B 1.1 if you really need it i suggest you use B1 its just as stable and have fully working 4G

  • You really only need to downgrade if you’re having sleep/wake issues otherwise you’re fine. B1.2 should be up in the next day or so. Come on over to Virus’s forum at infectedrom.com for more info. (and yes that was an absolutely un-subtle plug) :)

  • Probably should have elaborated a little. After using your phone for a good amount of time as you normally do,go to-Menu-Settings-Battery. If your “Uptime” and “Awake” time are the same you’re phone is not going into Sleep mode. In that case the Pri downgrade will cure that and your battery life will improve greatly.

  • I had to revert back to another rom. Too unstable on mine even after multiple flashes. I did like it but not beige able to access my phone is a no go. When the next revision comes out I’ll try again.

  • All of my phone numbers are set to dial a 1+ the number after. I am unable to place a call. Is there a setting to change this. I found a country code setting on b1, but can’t find it one the 1.1.

    Hello,
Sense 3.0 really looks elegant. However, not being able to Watch Netflix is a deal breaker for me. I remain impressed with Kings Unleashed Ultra R2 which sports a very elegant UI, Hulu works fantastically (not on 4G however), and Netflix works well on WiFi, 3G, and 4G.

Until there is a Gingerbread/Sense 3.0 ROM that offers the functionality and stability (not a single crash), I am going to stand pat. Nonetheless, the ROM looks amazing and I look forward to Sense 3.0.
    Cheers,
    JJ

  • You will have to flash the gfx.zip file that came with the ROM. I had this same issue and that fixed it. Although you may get stuck at the white htc evo screen, if that happens pull your battery, load into bootloader, then recovery and wipe the Dalvik cache and the cache, and you should be fine.

  • Did they ever fix the problem with the Bluetooth Address Book? Basically every ROM that’s 2.3 and later other than CM7 and its variants has this issue where you can get access to your contact numbers on a bluetooth device (like a vehicle with bluetooth). Its not the worst thing in the world, but its bad enough that it keeps me from using some of the nicest ROMs out there.

  • Where did you find the ROM? I’ve been looking for it for a few days now and I can’t find it anywhere
