HTC One M8 on Verizon to be updated to Android 4.4.3 on Wednesday, September 10

Verizon HTC One M8 owners – get ready to start hitting that update button incessantly! HTC executive Mo Versi took to Twitter again to confirm that the update to Android 4.4.3 is coming on Wednesday, September 10.

Along with the normal security updates, bug fixes, and security enhancements, this update will help some users squeeze a little more battery life from their phones through the addition of Extreme Power Saving Mode, which shuts off unnecessary functions when the battery gets low.

Even though this isn’t actually Android 4.4.4, this update still contains the security fixes of the latest version of Android, so users shouldn’t be too worried about one little number.

To check if the update is ready for your phone, simply navigate to Settings > Phone Update > Check for Update.
