3G Fujitsu LifeBook U820 with AT&T BroadbandConnect starting at $1199

Fujitsu_u820_wwanQuietly joining the ranks of its WWAN-equipped U2010 sibling is the Fujitsu LifeBook U820, which is now available with integrated HSDPA courtesy of AT&T BroadbandConnect. Listed on the Fujitsu US website are two versions of the 3G-enabled U820s, one with Vista Home Premium ($1199) and one with Vista Business ($1449).

Unlike their non-3G counterparts, the new models cannot be configured with the smaller 60GB hard drive. According to the U820 customization page, "AT&T Broadband is not valid with the 60GB hard drive option." And judging from the "Please select 120GB hard drive option with AT&T Broadband option" note, it seems that the 64GB SSD can’t be tucked inside the units either.

In addition to the 120GB hard drive you have to get, the 3G U820s are also eligible for two freebies right now: two-year warranty extension and your choice of a 8GB flash drive or a 2GB Creative Zen Mozaic in black or pink.

The warranty extension alone is worth $180.

Considering the free extras and the rest of the U820’s specs, which include GPS, long battery life, and 5.6-inch WXGA swiveling touchscreen, $1199 is a great price.
