Unboxing the new Sony Vaio P (second generation)

The second-generation Sony Vaio P that was announced a few weeks ago has just started shipping from Japan (depending on configuration).

I recently received my unit outfitted with a 2GHz Intel Atom Z550 processor, 64GB SSD, and WiMAX, and will of course be putting it under the microscope with a full review. While I try my best not to flood the site with coverage the way I did with last year's Vaio P, why not check out my unboxing and then build your own mini notebook at Conics.net?

I'll post some comparison pics with the original Vaio P in a bit [update: pics just posted!], but here's a very quick look at the new P in the meantime.
