Video: Live wallpapers on Dell Streak with Android 2.1

One of the small niceties about running Android 2.1 on the Dell Streak is being able to use live wallpapers. There’s a nice selection of them already included in 2.1, but there are many more available in Android Market and elsewhere on the internet. Some live wallpapers are CPU-intensive and can consume a lot of battery life, while others use a negligible amount of resources.

All of the preloaded live wallpapers and most of the third-party ones work well on the Streak. There are a few I’ve tried that work better in portrait mode (you remember how to rotate the Streak’s home screen, right?) than landscape, but most have no problem switching orientations.

I put together a short video showing various live wallpapers on the Streak, which you can see below.
