Rumor: Dell Opus One is next-gen Dell Streak with dual-core CPU

Dell-logo-opusone You didn't think more Streak colors were the only thing that came out of Dell's private presentation, did you?

According to someone who was at that presentation, Dell has plans to release a second-gen Streak in May 2011. It's currently being called the Opus One and while it was not specifically referred to as the Streak's successor, the image shown while the Opus One was being discussed was of the Streak and Streak Froyo.

The device is said to have a 5-inch screen just like the Streak, but with a high resolution of 1280 x 800 (or somewhere in that range). Powering the new tablet/phone hybrid is reportedly a 1.2GHz dual-core processor (one of the new Qualcomm Snapdragons, perhaps?).

Now, just because a Dell rep presents this information to a group of people doesn't mean that the Opus One will really be made/sold, especially with a release date set for six months from now (when phones will probably need to double as hovercrafts to impress anyone), but just in case, I'll be keeping my eye on this one.
