It's official. The Dell Streak 7 with its NVIDIA dual-core processor, 4G, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, Gorilla Glass screen, front cam, 5MP rear camera, Android 2.2, and Stage UI has just been announced. It weighs less than a pound.

  • Probably can make phone call through skype or similar software. If the price is below $400 (without contract) I’ll definitely get one.

  • No CDMA or TDMA phone makes this a deal breaker for me, plus, I just got my 5″ streak about 3 months ago :)

  • if it cant make regular cell phone calls, without the use of crutch software, then why would I upgrade from my ATT streak 5 and give up my ipad to go to TMobile and get the 7? So basically the 7 isnt offering me any reason to buy it. Guess until someone comes out w/an all in one theres no reason for me to move over to the 7 or maybe I should just buy a samsung tab from the uk unlocked, that way I can actually get what the devices were originally made for.

  • Agreed. If the Streak 7 cannot make voice calls, it’s a deal breaker for me. This device seems to be set to compete directly with the iPad and G-Tab and therefore would be amenable to users who already have cell phones and don’t want to get rid of them, but want a better internet experience than what their phone can give them.

I hate that Samsung allowed the G-Tab to be crippled in the US.

  • Jenn,
Am I mistaken or by the way this guy is holding it – I can assume the size is much smaller than the Samsung Tab 7″? The Tab is too big to hold really that I afaik.
