Dell Streak 7 available today at T-Mobile

Streak-7-tmobile-order

While AT&T continues to disappoint, frustrate, and anger Dell Streak users waiting in vain for the Froyo OTA update, T-Mobile will put smiles on the faces of Streak 7 fans by releasing its first HSPA+ tablet today for $199.99 with a two-year contract (after $50 mail-in rebate) and $449.99 without a contract.

The launch will be completely buried by Google's highly anticipated Android 3.0 Honeycomb event (talk about terrible timing!) and the consensus among early reviews is that the Streak 7 isn't worth buying, but my wonderful husband is still planning to be at T-Mobile when it opens today to get one for me. I don't base my gadget purchases on other people's opinions or mainstream popularity, so I'm looking forward to having a Streak 7 to call my own. My time zone puts me 5 hours behind the East Coast, though, so while I'm unboxing my new Tegra 2-powered tablet with breakfast, many of you will be recharging yours after lunch.
