iOS 4.3 now live
If you connect your iOS device to iTunes and check for updates, you should now get the option to update to iOS 4.3- two full days before it was officially supposed to launch. iOS 4.3 brings a few new features to the different devices, see a full list here or Apple’s iOS 4.3 page here. Of these features, the iPad will get improved AirPlay capabilities, options to choose what the side lock button does (mute/orientation lock), improvements to Safari, support for the HDMI adapter, some finger gestures and iTunes Home Sharing. I don’t care about any of these features so I’m not going to bother updating when the iPad 2 is 2 weeks away (international release is March 25), but I know that some people are going to go crazy over the return of the physical orientation lock and any Apple TV owners will certainly appreciate the AirPlay improvements.
