Wi-Fi XOOM for $539 at Sam’s Club

Droid Life is reporting that the new Motorola XOOM, currently only available with 3G built in, will be sold at Sam’s Club for the competitive  (finally) price of $539.  This is $60 cheaper than Motorola’s CEO Sanjay Jha stated it would be priced at.  The pricing has not been confirmed, but a tipster from a meeting, as well as pictures of the Motorola XOOM priced, lead them to believe this could be the final price for the unit.  If this is the case, maybe that XOOM just got a little more competitive to that other tablet that was just announced.  More after the jump.

The wi-fi only XOOM has not been given a release date yet, but with the European version launching in April, there is a good reason we might see this some time in the next couple of weeks.

Does this make you want to jump on that Android tablet bandwagon yet?  Or are you still waiting for them to polish it up?  Either way, if this is true, that $500 for the new iPad2 with half the memory, and potentially 1/4 of the RAM, looks a lot less powerful.  Pics of the tablet priced at a Sam’s at the source link.
