Fake Call, Call Mom, and functional Quick Record HTC widgets finally available on HTC EVO 4G
Depending on which ROM you're running on your HTC EVO 4G, you may have noticed that a trio of "new" HTC widgets recently became available in the "Get more HTC widgets" list: Fake Call for getting out of undesirable situations with a fake incoming call, Call Mom for reminding you to call anyone in your contacts list on a regular basis (every 2 to 10 days), and Quick Record for being able to quickly record something.
Quick Record has been part of this list since at least October 2010, but it didn't install correctly back then. It works now, as do Fake Call and Call Mom, which have also both been floating around for other phones since last year. I've also them on custom EVO ROMs running Sense 2.0 and 2.1 too, though I've personally never been able to get them downloaded or installed, perhaps because they weren't "supposed to" be on the EVO yet. Whatever the reason, they're all available and functional now.
If you don't already have them and you're on a Sense-based ROM, you can get the new widgets by long pressing an empty area on your home screen then tapping Widget > Get more HTC widgets > Menu > Update.
